This is made of loosely woven, light-weight, canvas-type cotton material, so it is not high quality fabric. The pocket is 7 inches deep & 6 1/2 inches wide -- big enough for a mobile phone, calculator or kitchen timer. Unfortunately, the ties are not long enough to tie in front -- each are only 25 inches long, plus the 24 inches across of the apron its self. The neck strap is non-adjustable. The bib section is 12 inches across, so it sufficiently covers my top. It is not very well constructed. The seams on the ties are not sewn straight & there is a one-inch gap in one of the ties where the stitches missed & did not close the fold in the tie. I like the color & pattern of the fabric. It was the closest I could find to a calico print but the low quality of this apron is a disappointment & I would be embarrassed to gift it to anyone.I like this apron. It was just what I was needing. Didn't really want all cloth as i sometimes splash liquid onto myself when in the kitchen. It is lightweight and does fit well and can be adjusted some for sizing. This apron is the least expensive apron I have but the one I wear the most. Great deal for your money. Arrived quickly and made for a great gift.The cotton print is what I expected and like. Fabric is thin but ok. However, the back of it is lined with plastic. It has the feel of a cheap white shower curtain. Not sure if it can be machine washed. Seems more like a disposable type apron. But I suppose if you are looking for something water resistant this would probably work.I wonder if washing this apron would be the end of it.
